Gale Force

Overview

Item Details
English Name Gale Force
Japanese Name ゲイルフォース
Chinese Name 飓风之力
Weapon Type Rearward-firing (continuously fires light projectiles in the opposite direction from player movement)
Evolution Material Bracer
Evolves To Unknown
Pickup Priority B

Effect and Behavior

Fires light-damage projectiles continuously rearward — in the opposite direction from the player's current movement. The weapon naturally punishes enemies that chase from behind: kiting away from a crowd automatically aligns the fire toward it. Movement speed affects how far and how densely the rear stream extends.

Bracer as the evolution material doubles as a direct buff: the speed increase it provides extends the rear projectile stream's reach and density simultaneously while also completing the evolution prerequisite. Individual hit damage is light, but continuous rearward fire accumulates meaningful damage against following enemy waves.

Evolution Conditions

Max Gale Force (Lv 8), carry Bracer, and open an elite-drop chest after 10:00 to evolve. The post-evolution weapon name is currently unconfirmed.

Strengths

  • Rearward firing naturally aligns with kiting behavior — retreating automatically aims at pursuing enemies
  • Bracer serves as both evolution material and a direct Gale Force damage/range amplifier
  • Fully automatic — no directional input needed beyond normal movement
  • High-movement-speed builds produce a denser, longer-reaching rear projectile stream

Weaknesses

  • Evolution destination currently unknown
  • Light per-hit damage limits boss and high-HP DPS
  • Rear-only fire provides no coverage for enemies approaching from the front or sides
  • Standing still reduces rear projectile generation — movement is a prerequisite

Recommended Characters

  • High-speed characters: more movement speed = longer, denser rear projectile stream
  • Characters who move constantly while fighting: naturally maximize rearward fire uptime
  • Imelda: +10% Growth levels Gale Force faster

Recommended Passives

  • Bracer: mandatory for evolution; speed increase directly amplifies rear projectile reach and density (top priority)
  • Duplicator: Amount increase adds simultaneous rear projectiles for higher total damage per second
  • Spinach: +10% Might raises individual projectile damage
  • Wings: additional speed stacking further extends the rear stream

Synergistic Arcanas

  • XX Silent Old Sanctuary: speed bonus extends rear stream density and range
  • IX Divine Bloodline: crit compounding on continuous rear hits raises DPS

Strategy and Tips

  • Early (0–10 min): Level Gale Force and grab Bracer early — it simultaneously preps evolution and boosts rear stream effectiveness. Keep moving toward open space so the rear stream consistently faces the incoming enemy wave.
  • Mid (10–20 min): Carry Bracer and push to Lv8 for evolution. Add Duplicator to raise simultaneous rear projectile count. Kiting around enemy clusters lets the rear stream continuously fire into the densest part.
  • Late (20+ min): At high speed with multiple passives, the rear stream fires at high density and extended range. Spinach raises per-hit damage to make each projectile contribute meaningfully to the total damage rate.

FAQ

Q: How do I get Gale Force?
A: It appears as a standard weapon offer in runs — select and level it like any base weapon.

Q: How does the rearward firing work?
A: Projectiles fire in the direction opposite the player's current movement. Moving right fires projectiles left; moving upward fires them downward. Changing movement direction instantly redirects the fire.

Q: Does speed affect how the weapon performs?
A: Yes — higher speed extends the rear projectile stream's range and increases its density. Bracer and Wings that raise speed are particularly valuable for Gale Force compared to weapons where speed is only a convenience stat.
